A few months ago I bought a 1:18 BBR Ferrari 275 GTS/4 NART.
It is a very beautiful model, but....................

...................I did not liked the wheels on this model.
So, I decided to change them for wire wheels.
To keep everything a little original, I used them from BBR itself.
Tires are the originals of the model, they fit the wire wheels perfectly.
The only things you have to change, are the brakes, they don't fit anymore.
But with a Dremel and a lot of glue, everything is coming all right. ;)

Personally, I like this so much more on this model, it looks better. :)

Before I did this job, I didn't know, that there was no original 275 GTS/4 NART, witch had no wire-wheels.
So, why does BBR makes this models with the wrong wheels?

First Borrani wheels seen on 275 NART was a preview at Nuremberg, a light blue model.

I think they will make all cars with Borrani soon ^^

Probably because, first BBR use restored cars as reference !

Next week I will meet a few other builders, maybe they know something.
At least I know one builder, he let them make by 3D printing.

The Nembo Spyder was created at the Modena carrozzeria of former Maserati technicians Giorgio Neri and Luciano Bonacini.
It combined design elements of the Ferrari 250GTO/64 and the later 275GTB. The result was stunning and elegant in its original dark blue with tan leather interior.
It was also probably the inspiration for Luigi Chinetti creating his short run of Ferrari 275GTS/4 NART Spyders.

The name “Nembo” was a contraction of Neri, Meade and Bonacini.

After a period of ownership in Italy, the first Nembo found its way to the USA where it remained for many years. At one point the original 250GT motor was replaced by a more powerful 250GT power unit and the interior was modified somewhat due to the fact that its 250LM windshield, although a striking element for the spyder, had been designed for a narrower cockpit and made driving this Nembo rather uncomfortable.

Tom Meade’s design talents were recognized by Enzo Ferrari and another of Meade’s creations, the somewhat outrageous gullwing Ferrari-engined Tomassima III, has been displayed at the Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari in Modena. Tom Meade died in Los Angeles in August 2013 but his standing creations live on.

I've seen other versions with different taillights.
But this one on your pictures, I always liked the most.
