CMF 1:18 Ferrari 612 Can Am
Spoiler is taped at the back on the base.
And yes, CMF was so kind to send me again the nr. 01 of 100 pieces! (red version)
Well my friends, body looks good, nice paint, but there are some things which need a little attention.
Wheels looks like sh*t!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, we started with the wheels, because they have a strange gold-colour and I don't like the shape of them.
I always like polished wheels, so I search for some alu-rims and found also some wheels of a 365 GTB.
I rebuild the wheels of the 365 to fit into the alu-rims.
For those people, who want also to rebuild there 612, but want to safe the original wheels of this 612, be very careful, the hart of these wheels are very fragile and will brake very fast.
With the original wheels of the 612, I've made my alu-rims longer.
Official there are 5 wheelnuts on every wheel, but I choose to place only one central wheelnut.
Dashboard: Steeringwheel looks like sh*t, so I used some spareparts of my own.
I cut out the hart of this new steeringwheel and replaced it by a PE part.
Need still some work before painting.
Engine: Now it's going to be difficult to explain in English, but the pictures will tell the story.
Cut it out nice and round and yes, this looks better then the originals of CMF.
Still 11 to go!
Maybe they are a little bit to large for this model, but I do not want to do anything at the engine.
CMF uses a sort of resin, which is very hard and will break easily.
Things will break always on that spots where you don't want it.
I don't want to do a new paintjob on this model, so I leave the engine for what it is.
Finished the steeringwheel and placed it in the dashboard.
Wheels are already glued under the body, so we can put the model back together again.
Model is finished and between the storm over here, I have made some pictures of it.
Thanks for watching! 8)
